The steamer has been on my kitchen counter since making dumplings last week. It rarely ever comes out so before it's sent into a deep slumber, one more steamed meal ... for two.

Ingredients - Salmon

1/2lb Salmon fillet
2 Tablespoons light soy sauce
1 1/2 Tablespoons rice vinegar
1/4 Cup Ginger (2-3 oz)
1 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil

Ingredients - Long Green Beans

1 Bunch (about 1lb) long green beans
1 1/2 Teaspoons peanut oil
3 Garlic Cloves
1 Tablespoon Chinese Hot Sauce
2 Tablespoons Chinese Cooking Wine
1/2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger and sesame oil in a bowl to make marinade.
  2. Cut salmon fillet in half and place into marinate meat side down
  3. Place salmon into the fridge for 2 hours.
  4. Steam salmon for 10 minutes. While salmon is steaming, stir fry long green beans with peanut oil, sliced garlic cloves, Chinese hot sauce, cooking wine and soy sauce until tender.
  5. Serve
