Suvi wanted to make pasta with the new Kitchen Aid and suggested a recipe from her childhood. Yum! It's very colorful. If I were do it again, I'd probably add fresh tomatoes for more color. |

During a rather hung over morning, Araya (aka Sexy Vegi Mama) came by and offered some of her Lentil and Quinoa salad. I've had both quinoa and lentils seperately, but together with this tangy dressing ... oh my!

In 1997, Dean introduced me to his Meat Loaf recipe. That was the first time I had tried a homemade meat loaf that I actually liked. There has been several iterations and modifications of this original recipe, but it is still basically the same.

A few months ago, I walked into a little diner in Los Altos with a group of friends. The diner had a very ecletic breakfast menu. The top item on the breakfast page was "Crab Eggs Benedict". This twist doesn't change much, but uses fresh King Crab in place of packaged Lump Crab. As a side note ... this isn't healthy.

MMMmmmm.... meat! Masses and masses and mounds of yummy tender meat! After talking to Duane, I had a craving for beef and was amazed when the Megamart had a seven bone roast on sale. MMMmmmmm...... meat!

For the recent Palmarin Hike, I made a light sandwich for the 7.5 mile trek in and out. The sandwich had to be light to carry in and light in the tummy. Worse thing on a trail would be an upset tummy
