This crab is my spin on a dish I found at a far too pricey restaurant in San Francisco. The original was tasty and has flavors that I'm still trying to figure out, but this recreation stands on its own without comparison. It's everything you like about Crab without all the messy effort. Yum!

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! There were two dozen live oysters left over in my fridge from a dinner party over the weekend and after having purchased 10 dozen in the last 2 weeks, I just couldn't get myself to eat another two dozen raw for lunch. They're delish, but even I have limits. This started without a plan, first by shucking and then looking around asking myself "what's next?". Imagine rolling up to a campout with a few dozen live oysters, shucking them and walking around the campground offering tasty ... OMG! |

I've gotta give Christine mad props. She got me into these sea boogers two years ago and I just can't stop. This can't me much easier and very tasty. I've even found a new fishmonger that's giving me wholesale prices and they haven't been out of the water for very long. Delish! |

This is my second Paella and without a doubt, not going to be the last. It's savory, smoky and full of Spanish love. All the ingredient melds perfectly together, complimenting what each has to offer. I can't say enough good things about it. Heck, I love it so much that I'll be bringing the Paella pan with me to Boston next month. That's love!

Ann gave me a bag of lemons from her yard and it had been sitting in my fridge for the last few days. Today, I had an urge for something tangy but yet light. I love lazy Saturdays, I get to stay home, make great food and relax. MMmmm... Relax...

One of my favorite combinations is pesto and salmon. A little twist on this gold standard adds cream and pasta for a delicious and simple mid week pasta dish.

While cleaning out the freezer, I found a piece of flash frozen wild Alaskan salmon left over from my last purchase at the local hippie grocery store. This was a total surprise, I was going to go to the mega mart and this let me stay home for the evening. Yay!

Another tried and true side dish fit for a backyard BBQ party. Most people who aren't accustomed to mussels get squeamish but as soon as a few brave souls dive in, the cache quickly disappears. This easily scales up to any quantity from dinner for one to feeding a good sized crew of friends and family.

Spinach and salmon with a lime cream sauce. This would probably be $15 ordered at a restaurant, and they'll most likely overcook the salmon. This meal for two took about 15 minutes to prepare. Few other dishes are so simple and good on their own.
